Our most recent addition, Shambhala Wellness, is located on the edge of our soft boundaries at 215 E. University Drive here in Denton.
Their new location, a restored victorian home across from TWU, has its walls lined with art from different artists, and virtually every twist and turn through the house offers a different artist’s work.
According to Johanna Oosterwijk,N.D., and owner of Shambhala, “We believe that being surrounded by art enhances the total wellness experience.”
Currently Shambhala has work from artists Nell Elliott, Darlene Horst, Steve Sanazaro, Katie Keenan and Keri Burnside. They will be open until 9 this coming First Friday and will have live music, drawings for free yoga classes, free Reiki, free massages and more. If you have any questions you can contact Johanna at 940-380-8728. You can also e mail her at Johanna@shambhalawellness.com.
A fresh box of new small artworks by Lou Kregel just arrived, and will be offered by sister artist Leslie Kregel at her studio on South Locust this evening. There aren’t too many, so make sure to stop in this First Friday. Call Leslie at 940-390-2873 to find out her studio hours today.
