This is it! The last First Friday Denton before Santa packs the sleigh and heads down your chimney. Of course it’s also the first First Friday Denton before Christmas as well – the first of many more to come. There’s a lot to tell, and a lot to show, so let’s get to it shall we?
JUST ADDED – A rollicking good time at Sleeping Lizzards located at 424 North Elm Street, just north of the historic Denton County Square, in Denton. Beth and Roxane will be open later than usual for her first First Friday Denton appearance, and along with a store full of new merchandise, will also “have will have wine and cheese for all those who want to come for booze and bangles!”
From Sleeping Lizzards, it’s a short walk to A Creative Art STUDIO, and another in a long line of big evenings at Robin Huttash’s STUDIO.
At Cimarrona Studio, there will be multiple unique guests including Susan Sponsler’s handmade bags, encaustic monoprints and jewelry. Art from multiple Kregels, including masterful hand made shaker style nesting wood boxes by Charles Kregel, and unique jewelry by Patti Kregel will also be on display and available at Cimarrona Studio. Leslie also has a few new hat styles, so if you haven’t been by in awhile, now is the time.
Don’t forget this First Friday is preceded by the annual Holiday Lighting on the Square in Downtown Denton, Texas – Thursday December 2nd. This is another event you will not want to miss.
Please add your First Friday Denton event by either e mailing me or adding information in the comments to this post. The sooner I get your information, the sooner it gets posted on the site!
A woodworking demonstration on how to make nesting Shaker Boxes will be put on at Kregel Products, at 7-pm Friday night. He shares his location with his daughter Leslie Kregel at 721 Sout Locust St. in Denton, Texas.
Join A Creative Art Studio for First Friday Denton November 5th, 2010. Glen Farris will be performing in the studio with his guitar and harmonica from 7-9 pm. He sang at our very first First Friday and we thought it was time to have him back for an encore performance. Also back by popular demand is Greg Conlin doing 30 minute portraits. Thinking about holiday shopping? Give a unique gift made by a local artist from A Creative Art Studio. Meet friends and enjoy music and art at the Studio.
