First Choice on First Friday at First United Methodist Church Denton Texas

First United Methodist Church Denton is hosting their annual Alternative Gifts Fair

Nov. 2 “First Choice” 5:00-9:00
Saturday, Nov. 3, 9:00 to 3:00pm
Sunday, Nov. 4, 9:00 -1:00 pm
201 S. Locust, lower level of church

A $5.00 admission will be charged on Friday allowing shoppers to purchase their first choice of many one-of-a-kind items.

Admission is free on Saturday and Sunday. The purpose of the fair is twofold, to make money for missions and to provide an alternative to holiday shopping for gift giving.

All money collected will go directly to the missions. There will be opportunities to buy fair trade food and merchandise made by artisan in third world countries as well as merchandise donated by artisans in the FUMC congregation. When buying gifts for the person who has everything, outreach groups will promote ‘shares’ or opportunities to donate money to honor someone. This is not a fundraiser for the church, but an opportunity to support missions.

Those organizations participating include: Ten Thousand Villages, SERRV, Heifer Project, Marfa Ministry, Crouch Gardens, Interfaith Ministries, First Meal, Threads of Hope, Texas, Dawn of Hope International, Fred Moore Day Nursery, FUMC-Children’s Day Out/Funstop, Habitat for Humanity, Guatemala Mission, Red Bird Mission, United Methodist Women, Women’s Child Care Center, Bethlehem, Denton Wesley Foundation and more.
Spread the word! Mark your calendars! Tell your friends there is an alternative to holiday shopping,….The Alternative Gifts Fair!!
