Hands-on crafts, a secret concert, live music, refreshments, art shows, even giving back to the community and more await you around every corner. Check out what’s happening at all the stops below.
Artists Enclave of Denton County is sharing its First Friday to benefit local non-profit Our Daily Bread.
This special summer event for all ages is presented by Artists Enclave of Denton County, The Bearded Monk, Texas Musicians Against Gun Violence and 7Feathers from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. at The Bearded Monk, 122 East McKinney Street.
TX Fire Pies mobile wood fired brick oven pizza and Cakes With Alt will be on hand with delicious food for purchase with proceeds benefiting Our Daily Bread.
Live entertainment by “Newgrass” band, Zeb Ernest with Tallgrass, Matt Grigsby and Too Soft & The Smooth Smells.
Please bring donations of much needed bottled water and such items as sunscreen, insect repellent, deodorant, baby powder, mouthwash, cough drops, razors (safety) and shaving cream for Our Daily Bread clients. Everyone donating these items will be entered to win raffle prizes provided by breweries and Denton artists.

First Fridays at the Arts Center is hosting a Skateboard Deck Auction from 6-8 PM, Free, Patterson-Appleton Arts Center. Wes Brown of Metropolis Tattoo and Fine Art will be hosting a one night event benefitting the Greater Denton Arts Council. The night will consist of a reception and a silent auction. Items up for auction will be skateboard decks hand painted by local tattoo artists!

Join SCRAP and UNT’s College of Visual Arts and Design Summer ‘Design II’ class for August’s First Friday event at SCRAP Denton from 6 to 8pm. The art show will feature soft sculptures made from at least 75 percent reused, repurposed, and upcycled materials. Come show your support for budding local artists and creative reuse. Also enjoy live music, drinks and extended shopping hours.
A Creative Art Studio will host its usual fun party with live music by On the Spectrum and art from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m..
Vintage Bleu and Circa 77 along West Oak Street just off the square also welcome you to stop in for extended shopping hours, Friday Friday fun in all art forms.
