I made it around to a few places and took photographs last Friday. It was, without a doubt, the most crowded First Friday event since the event began.

We stopped in at Atomic Candy on the Square today, and just love the place. You can find every candy known to exist, and a lot of it is packaged in retro style wrappers that are sure to take you back in time. If you’re like me, you won’t be able to wait until next First Friday to visit Atomic Candy. I know I won’t.

Make sure you welcome Atomic Candy Owner Tim Loyd to the list of First Friday when you stop in at 105 W. Hickory St. His hours will be short on First Friday, closing at 8-pm is necessary as part of his location, so what you do is go get dessert first, then go eat! Chestnut Tree Closing Reception of VAST Artwork This Friday

The Chestnut Tree, our newest participant in First Friday Denton, will be open until 8pm to host the closing reception that starts at 6:30 in the evening. Be sure to visit The Chestnut Tree, and not only see the artwork from VAST members, but remember The Chestnut Tree is open daily with a great brunch and lunch menu.
Weather will be unseasonably mild this First Friday, so be sure and get out to walk off some of that holiday cheer, and send photographs from wherever you are for First Friday, and see them posted here on the official First Friday Denton website.
The Chestnut Tree is located at 107 West Hickory Street, Denton, and you can call them at 940/591-9475.

Cellar 22 – Wassail Everybody!

Cellar 22 – Wassail Everybody!

Hello!
It is officially “The Holidays,” and we have a lot going on at the cellar 22 to get you in the holiday spirit!!

Friday and Saturday:
This Friday is the annual Tree Lighting on the Square and Wassail Festival. The fun starts at 5:30 and the cellar 22 will have wassail, so please stop by and enjoy some. Jennifer Escue will be playing at 7:30, come early to grab a seat!

Saturday – Burton Tyler is playing and will start around 8:00. He is always lots of fun and very entertaining!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! I can’t wait to see ya’ll and kick off December with a great glass of wine or beer with you!!
