We attended the mixer for Downtown Businesses yesterday at the Mulberry Street Cantina, and there were plenty of familiar faces there, going all the way back to my nine years of living on the Historic Downtown Denton Square.
Along with the old faces, there is a huge crop of new faces with fresh energy and ideas on how to keep the momentum of Main Street and the Denton Downtown scene rolling along.
I was able to communicate with the folks at www.dentonradio.com about possibly dropping in some advertising and the idea sounded pretty good to Jake Laughlin of Denton Radio.
We here at First Friday Denton are always looking for your ideas to make this event even better and larger, so feel free to contact us. You can also use the Facebook page for information and input. Be sure to visit the First Friday Denton facebook page to see some quick photographs I took at the mixer last night as well!
Hello everyone! We are certainly having a cold spell here in North Texas, and that can be good for folks still selling the winter spirit and spirits. There are plenty of places to visit this coming First Friday, so walk right in and sit right down and enjoy yourself.
We are getting closer to the time for a meeting of the participants in First Friday Denton, and anyone wishing to volunteer an opinion for time, date, and place, this is where you do it – by commenting on this particular post. From here we can start to whittle down the choices to something that works for us all.
I also know there are some new applicants, and there is a chance one has slipped through my e mail net. So, if you haven’t heard back from me by now, you should have. Please resend, or AGAIN, comment on this post, and I will get to you before heading south this weekend. We can certainly have you listed in time for the next First Friday Denton if you get back to me by this Friday at the latest.
