Send in Your First Friday Announcements

For all the First Friday Denton participants – please have your announcements in by midnight Wednesday before First Friday. You can pretty much count on it not being published if it doesn’t arrive by Wednesday.

We obviously have some great new participants, and I took the opportunity of changing the look of the site to also add the newcomers to the site. Many of the kinks that had been finding their way into the site I’ve ironed out as well. Please join me in welcoming Atomic Candy, Seven Mile Cafe and SCRAP Denton. We also now have a permanent spot for The Chestnut Tree Tea Room. Not only do you have links in the sidebar, you will find a description of your businesses on pages that most closely match your “category” of business. As always, First Friday Denton benefits from links from you just like you benefit from links going your way from First Friday Denton.

As you peruse the new site, there is a sidebar on the right, and there is also information at the bottom. In the right sidebar, along with everything else, are the links for everyone involved. IF you have been missed, or want to be added, you will want to let me know.

December First Friday Denton in the History Books

We close the door on First Friday Denton for the year 2010. Of course all our participants pick up where we left off on the First Friday in January, the 7th. to be exact. February will mark the one year anniversary of First Friday Denton, and you can bet someone will be throwing a party for February’s double good First Friday.

There is still plenty of time left on the calendar for members of First Friday Denton to post any extracurricular sales or events leading up to Christmas 2010. So, if you have extended holiday hours, or any other special events, feel free to either post them in a “comment” to this post, or send the details and I will run them as they arrive.

As always, I am seeking any paparazzi style images from December’s First Friday Denton, and would love to get images from members all the time.

Thanks to all that participated in December, and all of you who continue to participate as we head toward the anniversary and beyond. I am still looking for help behind the scenes, behind the curtain so to speak, so if you have skills in advertising art, or anything else you think would be a benefit to First Friday Denton, please contact us.

Be sure to send in your blurbs in the next few days, and we will try and get them on the site in time for our next First Friday Denton event – in less than two weeks!

We are on the move, and receiving e mail could be hit-or-miss. Feel free to call – 8 zero 0 8 1 six eight two five 9 – and leave your blurb in a message if no one answers.

This is the time of year in Denton where everyone is just hanging in there, waiting for the weather to cool, students to return in full force, and we hope, getting ready for the first fall season of First Friday Denton. We all have a lot to look forward to and make sure you voice your thoughts on the commuter train schedule whenever and wherever constructive opinions are sought.
